New to the Forum!

Postby imster » Fri Apr 08, 2016 1:38 am

Hey all, Just joined this forum after seeing Casper's wonderful build diary for his 1/8th McLaren Mp4/4.

I've been modelling on and off for most of my life but only in the past year I have really taken an interest in super detailing and commission building.

I'm on a few other forums so some might know me already, for those of you that don't here is a quick few pics of some of my builds over the past year. As you can see I have a keen interest in 1/24 cars and 1/12 motorcycles, my plan is to perhaps do a few multimedia kits and 1/12 kits in the coming months/years.

Anyways without further delays heres the pics, and if you want to see more pics of each of the builds then just click on them and they should take you to my photobucket page.

Ducati Panigale: This was my first build after a fairly long hiatus, I did a little bit of scratch building and added quite a bit of extra detail

Image

Mazda 787b: This build was heavily detailed, and I had quite a few issues and problems to tackle while building this one, definitely a memorable build!

Image

Honda RC166: I got all the detail up sets and also added quite a few details myself, building the chain wasnt fun but I persevered and finished it in the end. Of all my builds this one came out absolutely flawless

Image

Lamborghini Miura: This car was built straight OOB and was for a group build exercise on another forum, the main goal of this build was to get a nice finish on the paint

Image

Honda NSR500 '84: This was my latest build and it was super detailed

Image

Since completing the NSR500 I havent started up anything properly yet because I am moving house. So I will be fairly quiet for a few months yet before embarking on my next project!

Welcome to the forum Imster. Your builds are fantastic. I particularly like the NSR500. Like your building stand too. Is that a commercial item, or did you build it yourself ?
Cheers

Thanks everyone! I hope to begin my next build in a few months time, I shall put it up on this forum as well :)

@ Mark: The building stand is made by a good friend of mine, they are perfect for bike building, he does build them for people so if you want one send me a PM and I will pass you his details.

@ steve131: thanks bud and yes all my kits will be transported by me and in my car, I'm lucky because I am moving only 20minutes up the highway so fingers crossed no breakages!

Hi all,
New here (second time around - note to self, using a work email is not a good idea when you're a contractor!!), and around a year or so behind the rest of you on the Milennium Falcon build. In fact, I only got the ramp motor this week, and Roy's build diary reinforces that I have a long way to go!
I visited here a lot for the Aston DB5 build diaries and gained a lot of insight and inspiration.
I'm currently building the Falcon, as well as the 'Build Your Own Solar System' brass orrery and looking forward to sharing my miserable progress and begging for help!
