dear ladies and gents -

I had this one for 20 years now - bought at a swap meet in slightly started state -
tucked away as many other things needed to be done and recalled when I bought the e-type -
took out today, cleaned up the box and had a thorough look at the contents:

OH DEAR

sell your home, kidnap your neighbours cat, do anything that is needed to buy this one:

forget that lotus

this heller kit consists of 1054 parts and anything you can imagine is there:
full, and I mean FULL suspension,
brakes (yes even the pads and the springs in the drums),
steering,
any wire or plumbing or hose is there,
even the gear shift linkage is all there and working,
every kingpin on the suspension, the torsion springs,
a full set of original wiring diagram is there if you happened to set this alight...
a book (not booklet) of instructions,
not a guesswork like the e-type instructions are,
e v e r y t h i n g i s t h e r e...

b e a u t i f u l
cannot take piccies as they'd be pretty out of focus now,
need to get myself something to drink right now..............................

should make a series of piccies of the sprues and some finished pieces (which will be taken apart and rebuilt...),
so stay tuned - and if you can, buy one!! :D

as promised, have made piccies of all parts -
please note this is not exactly for detailing purposes as I had to take the piccies on the carpet due to the size and number of them -
so just see what's here (also compared to our "big" cat) - for paul: see what a really big box is like

pheww, that's it...
the engine and transmission as well as the front suspension are built already so many part sprues are empty by now,
the seats are made out of vinyl so a bit on the soft side, there are vacuum formed parts for some internal parts like the roof lining and door pockets...
all hoses and any other rubber part of the model are cast on two large rubber sprues, somewhere around the middle to the left of the piccies...

the first task for me will be documenting the engine and trans properly and taking everything apart...
more later -

I've seen a couple of Rolls, that look similar to Goldfinger's on (1/8)th scale - any comments or advice?

maybe a major mod on one of the pocher RRs would be possible -
including casting the metal parts in gold

It was the Pocher RR I was thinking of - is that the correct car?

the goldfinger car is a 1937 phantom III,
the closest pocher has made is the 1934 phantom II convertible,
so changes form II to III plus a roof are on the mod list...

but you got me on the idea, blame you
