how lovely,
this has got it's own thread now like the e-types -
one cannot leave you guys alone for 10 days - the models have trebled...
you guys can blame it all on me

Wow, there are Citroen fans here? I'm one... ;)

People who know my Facebook may have noticed the 54 pics I uploaded there from the IAA (International Car Exhebition Frankfurt), and half of them are from Citroen (I love that new DS 5...)

Maybe I should go for that 15 CV model?

get it!!

I just owned these:
2x 2CV (a pale yellow and a yellow Charly) = buying the altaya partworks 1:8 scale now...
1x GS Club
2x DS21
1x CX Pallas

so you could rightly assume I'm not a big citroen fan
and the metropolis is something I'd think of, or a SM maybe...

Hi Stefan,

If you want an "easier" one to do as a model how about a Jaguar e-type?! :)

so I should buy a 1.16 scale heller Ds and convert every part to double size...

and in the meantime you could buy this:

I've never had the funds but I know a company "printing" 3D pieces -
I'd even know where to get the "printer", what I don't know though, where to get the money

but while on a V12 for the e-type, I could start the DS engine...

There seem to be a few companies offering 3d printed parts/kits. I know somebody is doing the Jag engine. I too wish I could afford such equipment.

as I love creating things by hand it's a double sided thing for me:
anyone with a bit of computer skills could be a great kit maker if using the 3D machines and could even do much better models than the likes if me -
the precision (and the ease of making it) would attract me as it's sometimes pretty time-consuming to get something right if you don't have plans to go by -
while the same 3D person couldn't do a single panel with the thumb/by/eye method (or chills sugar cube scale  ) the software helps to make a whole car by feeding a few pictures into the program...

All very true. It would takethe fun out of proper modelling. I still wish I could afford the gear, even if I didn't buy it
