You have my sympathy Julian, I hate citroens after a bad experience with a C3 at work last year (cost my boss a fortune)! I'll stick to tinkering with Volvo's. lol

:(
I have a C4 Picasso for two years now, and it's the best car I ever owned. I also use a Citroen Nemo and a Citroen Jumper at work - and nothing bad about them. I had much bad experience with my VW Sharan and Touran before! (and my father in law has the same problems with his VW Golf)
The dad of my very best friend only had Citroen all his life, beginning with an Ami 6, then a CX, then a Xantia, then a C4, and now an old restored DS 21 - and he never had a problem with any of these cars...
I think you always can be lucky or unlucky with any cars.

I've had these:
2x 2CV - GS Break - 2x DS21 - CX 2400 Pallas
if you count my father's red charleston, which I drove regularly before I bought my first own car, make it 3x 2CV

nothing special happened that wouldn't happen to any other car -
except on the CX where a main hydro pipe burst and has been replaced by the latest evo version tube and no troubles ever again...

I regularly drive our company C5 which is not bad but no match to the old glory days (and also not to my A6) -
and at 6'5" I must say the sports seats are a pain in that one as well -
I've been sitting better in the 2CV...

Hi all, as i've now finished the Rolls Royce I decided to get the Citroen out of the attic! God, there are so many parts and the instructions seem more than a little daunting! :?
Any way I've mad a little start on the engine. Pics to follow.............

Ah, that must be one of the less conventional meanings of the word 'easy' :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:

Hi Paul, sorry for the late reply.........Just had a week in sunny Majorca!
I was stashing it away until the DB5 was finished, but as I've been waiting and waiting for parts I decided to make a start on the engine. It certainly isn't a kit for an amateur like me, but I'll give it a good go. :?

Here are some pics of the engine so far. As you may notice, I had to make some spacers from plasticard as the cylinder head and block tend to really bow together e.g. )(
I want to add more colour to make it look more interesting, but have been reliably told that green is the main colour.
