Mark has kindly let me do the 1/32 Airfix Triumph Herald for the Christmas competition.
My friend had one of these back in the 80’s and we used to all go to the beach in it all through the summer.
Great little car, should have a lot of fun building it. :D
Here is a pick of the kit. When it arrives I will post a parts photo etc.

Hi Casp,

Don't forget that you'll have to get Shane to do his Spitfire and also start his own build diary.....

Oh, and join the forum in his own right!

Heck - we'll then have to behave ourselves properly then!!!!

I hear Mark saying "At Last, they'll then eventually behave themselves" !!! "mutter, chunter, I then won't need any moderators" !!!!

Ha ! You lot behave ? That'll be the day :laughing-rolling:

Joking aside, this forum is so well behaved, there is very little moderation to do. Apparently the PC Gaming forums are the places to go to see anarchy. Or you can just go to Facebook and call the DB5 a toy :laughing-rolling:

NB Casp, for the hijack again.......

I think we need Shane on here to keep us all under control (if that's possible).........????!!!!!

Heck Casp,

On a 1:32 scale that could be quite difficult, though would look great :D

Hi Paul
I think your right m8, will take a closer look at it when it arrives and go from there. Hows the DB5 coming along :)

Hi Casp,
the 1/32 scale one is far too small, but it will then be great to get back to the cat - all these pieces are far too small for me!

Kit arrived this morning and here are some pics of the contents. I must say I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the moulds and the amount of detail. Even down to the Triumph Herald name plate on the bonnet. God knows how I’m going to Bare Metal that

HI Casp,

It looks a really nice model :D

I've just given up any idea of any bare metal with the Airfix DB5 - if it had been 1:25 scale then possibly ....... Perhaps!

Hi Paul, :)
The chrome parts are very small m8, will have to take a closer look later but it may be too small for some parts to be done in Bare Metal.
I really like this kit. The detailing is amazing for something so small. Lots of tiny parts to paint. As you can see it came with two pretty good brushes and six pots of paint. RED 19...SILVER 11...WHITE 22...BLACK 33...BROWN 62 and DARK SILVER GREY 53.
I will be doing my own colour scheme for this car and will confirm that later. Have two colour schemes in mind but Still undecided. My friends Herald was an all white convertible but I want to do a two tone car if possible.
