Hi Casp,

I had 6 paints with the DB5, though I've not used any yet, as I already had the black No.33 and I've also changed the colour scheme! - Not that I'm being a "Cardi"!!!!! :laughing-rolling:

Sorry to everyone else, being a "Cardi" is a bit of a Welsh joke, for not spending money ......

Hi Casp,

I'm, just waiting for Shane's model & build diary as I'm sure that he'll put the majority of us to shame.... Oh and use less :superlglue: :) :) :)

Hi paul
shane wants to do his intro later after school and set up his build diary. But we will have to get a small kit for the christmas compo as the one i got him was too big at 150 parts and skill level 5  . It looks a bit difficult so i will be advising him on what to do.
Shanes only made one or two kits before and they were ready painted revell star wars. cool little kits :) but he does like painting things. He makes Lego custom minifigs.

Good on Shane for wanting to have a bash. We'll look forward to seeing his build.
Cheers

Thanks mark :D
Be nice to get him off his xbox and call of duty :violence-sniperprone:
He loves watching me and loves to make things but model kits are a new think for Shane so he will need lots of guidance and what better place than here with with friends. Great forum and I’m glad he is taking an interest. Won’t be on as much as me as he has a busy schedule to keep   he is very eager to get started. :)

His unimog build diary is up now Paul.
Shane will work on it more at the weekends, he does not have a lot of time after school and I work nights so we can't build in the evenings. I will try to have an hour with him later to get things moving along.
Interesting truck that he picked, some people in the states buy them and convert them into campers. They have also been raced but they were designed for the military.
Apparently it’s supposed to be pronounced U Nimog :)

as it's a german thingy unimog is the short term for "Universal-Motor-Gerät" which would translate into:
universal motorised machine (or appliance) -
the accent is on the "u" and it's a VERY short "ooh" in english -
imagine saying universe with an "ooh" up front instead of the "u"...
(interestingly in german the accent in universum is on the "e" ;) just in case you wanted to know)
building:DB5~E-Type~Testarossa~Aston Vantage V12~Millennium Falcon

It does Paul as I do have to mask off the second coat if spraying.
I wish i had an Airbrush, i may invest in one this year then it would be so much easier to paint parts etc. I could paint it with a brush but its hard to get an even coat.

Hi Casp,

Please don't mention about a proper airbrush (the compressor version...!), as if I do get in to modding properly, then a proper Chrome job (rather than bare-metal) would also be on the wish list !!!!
