I was viewing an airbrush kit early this morning, two brushes and a compressor for £45 but when i got up today it had sold.
may i ask what you paid for the Alclad

Hi Casper, I put tha Alclad2 on with a Badger Anthem 155 airbrush. I bought it on ebay early last year to use on my model railway layout but never got arround to using it untill i started this model, so it is a learning curve for me. I think it was about £55 - £60 (normaly over £100). That sounds like a good deal that you seen. Tha Alclad2 was £4.75 from www.wonderlandmodels.com . I buy quite a lot from them and find them very quick with thier delivery, they always seem to have everything in stock

A K and a big thanks to morrigan for the tip about using the clear orange to warm up the wood.

Below the coat of clear orange on the wood and a coat of gloss laquer(not yet dry)

It's coming along nicely BigG, that clear-coat has really transformed the look of the wood panels. Nice work on the Alclad 2 Chrome as well. I always find masking such a time consuming chore when I'm doing it, but worth every swear-word and complaint after it has come off.
You must be very happy with the progress.

Hiya BigG,

I'd forgotten that you hadn't done the roof

I had to go back to the pic on the box that you posted

So are you going to mask & spray it? - NB sorry for all the silly questions

Hi Casp, Most of the Chrome work came already chromed in the kit. The alclad2 high chrome was used on the stripes down the sides, but i have to admit it is brilliant stuff.I would like to use it on a kit where there is more of an area to cover, i think it would be stunning.
