I was with my brother at the weeked sorting his atic out when we came across these Fischertechnik sets burried under loads of boxes! They were mine in the 1970s and I thought I had lost them and had totaly forgoten about them until now! Theyv'e been in my brothers loft for years and Ive now reclaimed them as he's not interested.! This is the basic set.

Close up of electronic relay. This can switch two seprate motors or reverse one motor! These are often used in electrical machinery in factories!

Circuit diagram of relay set up to change direction of a motor. Fishertechnik was made in Germany and was used by students in colleges to study electro mecanical and electronic components. I bought these sets in the 70s and they were quite expensive at that time but the quality was superb and the things you could build were much more advanced and better than Lego at that time! They still sell in the UK but some of the sets especialy the electronic and electro mecanical sets can be quite expensive!

Ive checked through the sets and apart from a few minor parts all seem to be complete! I might try and build some of the parts up as there are instructions as well and bring back memories!

Built up one circuit last night to check out components! This is a motorized cam system controling a set of traffic lights! The cams push switches in and out making the lights turn on and off! The lights are in sequence although the speed is a little fast! The top light is suppose to be red but its so bright it shows up white in the photo. Will be building some more circuits at a later date!
