Hi All,

please see pictures.

IJN Yamato after month 1 (complete)

IJN Yamato after minth 1 (turret)

IJN Yamato after month 1 (main command structure)
Just from this first issue, i am rather dissapointed with the build quality of this partwork
there are a few reasons for this,
1.the model does'nt allow for R/C conversion
2.the model frames are located on the keel plate using pips instead of slots
3.when you attach the frames to the keel plate (appart from being in consistent) they leave a gap about 3mm wide between them and the keel plate

which will take alot of sanding when the planks are fixed
I'm not sure if the last point is supposed to be like that or not i shall have to wait and see
Having said all that about the hull woodwork, the superstructure is make of white metal and is actually of a rather good quality!
keep subscribed for updates, thanks for looking,
tom
Cheers,
Tom.
