Here's a little section of anybody who manages to find a really odd ball model that doesn't fit into any of the other catergories.

Ah, one of those models that I always wanted. I also fancy the paddle steamer engine they re-issues.
I'll look forward to seeing this one Paul. It''s an old tooling, so should give you a few challenges.
Cheers

Hi Mark, apparently no :superlglue: or paint required, though on the latter I think it will be modded !!!!! :)

It features light and sound and apparently, first the engine 'starts up' and then it runs 'firing' to show how the combusting fuel and air drives the pistons down to make the crankshaft turn.

Ah, different kit to the one I was thinking of. I built the Haynes version of this with my daughter. Assuming it's the same tooling, it goes together quite well.
Cheers

It should look good with a lick of paint, but depending on what bits you paint, you might not be able to see the working innards.
The sound module on mine is not very loud. It's almost drowned out by the noise from the motor.
Cheers

maybe you could paint one half and leave the other side transparent to show the moving parts...

Hi Mark,
The tooling looks new from the parts.
This model is 240mm long by 220 high, including the base

The fan was supplied black, so that is in the process of being sprayed red.
The pistons and rods were white, but I've sprayed then with Humbrol chrome silver 191.
For the crankshaft, which was black, I'm now spraying it with Humbrol aluminium 56
