Airfix Engineer Combustion Engine

Here's a little section of anybody who manages to find a really odd ball model that doesn't fit into any of the other catergories.

As I've sprayed the crankshaft in aluminium, it's now having a clear varnish applied to it also

Hi Mark,
The tooling looks new from the parts.
This model is 240mm long by 220 high, including the base

I originally thought you meant this one

One thing to bear in mind, if you paint moving parts like the pistons, etc. you may find that the paint wears off quite quickly. It will look far better painted though. Mine looks very toy like, but then, it is for my daughter to play with.
Cheers
Mark

Hi Mark, thanks for the link :)
I have thought about the parts moving and the paint, but whilst it is a moving kit, I'll it as a static one :)

Despite officially no glue being needed, I've used poly cement on the pistons as they weren't fitting tight without it, NB no :superlglue: used yet !!!!!! :laughing-rolling:

Unless the model maker has to make the noises . I can just imagine Paul making an engine noise etc. either that or the noises of muttering and utterings as the parts don't go together .

Hi Casp,

I'll keep the clear parts clear, though the rest is up for modding, well paint wise anyway !
