If I make an exception for you, I'd have to make one for everybody ! There are nearly 70 Airfix kits in the Military 1930-50 range that meet the competition rules. Surely you can find one in that lot that you want to build, to say nothing of the hundreds of eligible kits in other subjects.

A buid diary of the Catalina would be most interesteing, even if it isn't eligible to enter the Xmas competition.

PS. The list price is £2 higher, and I don't care who has got it on sale. The competition rules refer to the list price, not Ebay or Modelzone sales.
Cheers

Mark wrote:I just thought I'd throw a couple of options on the table, to see what people would like.

Would you like the competition to stay the same as before. I.e. Series 1 or 2 kit with a month or two to build it, or would you prefer to have the option of a slightly larger model with, say 4 months to build it.
I'll still keep the other rules the same. I.e. No aftermarket accessories. Just you, the model, and some string, plasticard, fuse wire, etc.

Or, should I give the competition a rest for this year ?

Just to clarify, if I allow bigger kits, you can still build a smaller kit if you want.

Hi Mark,

Have you decided how long to run the poll, before a decision is make - NB only asking out of curiosity (no cat inc my e-type killed) .....!!! :)

I've closed the poll now as the results are pretty conclusive. I'll announce the competition in about a month. Thanks to everybody who voted.
Cheers

It's great that there is a lot of banter over what may or not be allowed by our "Lord & Master" (sorry Mark - only joking) and it's great to see a lot of interest in what ever is allowed etc :D :D

NB - says he who has the Aifix Mini in mind anyway ......!!!!! :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:

Nice model indeed, but just outside the rules I'm afriad. The RRP should be no more than £14. Sorry.

8-) I discussed a few aston models with mark -> re. elegibility
I know you're curious paul but a bit of teasing is fine as well -
and I still don't know my own choice...
