Thanks Steve and Eric i`m using the Halfords filler primer first then i`ll use the grey to finish the priming then the hull colour`s :D

Used the same stuff on my Bismarck hull. Works well, but the colour leaves something to be desired.

I take it these lifts are non operational? It would be nice if they worked.

cheer`s Eric no lift`s don`t work i`m afraid would have been awesome though :D also realised when the lift platform`s are in place you won`t be able to see the motor`s etc :angry-banghead:

Ok test fitted the hangers on the hull no real problems just some adjustments to the tabs to get them to fit better also painted the hull grey no more banana boat :laughing-rolling: Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image thanks for looking in 8-)

Well i`ve driiled all the portholes and pack 15 has arrived first etch deck plate which is for the bow and lot`s of strip for the degausing line....Have you noticed i`ve not built up any of gun platforms as they will need adjustments before being attached also i`m not building the planes until last :D Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image THANKS FOR LOOKING IN 8-)

That is a LOT of superstructure piled onto the original hull, this carrier must have had some stability problems in real life!

Not sure about the Akagi? i no she was one of the fastest carrier`s after her refit though,i can`t find any reference to say she was unstable :angry-banghead:

I'm not sure either Tigerace, but I do know that most of the Japanese cruisers were very tender, especially the Mogami class ones, as were their destroyers so it wouldn't surprise me if she was a bit unstable!

She was laid down at the Kure shipyard as an Amagi-class battlecruiser but no mention of any problem`s with stability?

I read somewhere that she wasn't overtly unstable, but that removal of much of the armour did improve her seagoing characteristics. Unfortunately, the down side was that it made her vulnerable to air attack, as she found out at Midway.
