Hi all

My first attempt to a build dairy, never done this so see how it goes this is going to be a long build especially as only get one issue a month

Parts looks clean started with the eye found a slight burr around the mold when attempting to stick the silver strip around best to clean surface of grease as strip not very sticky plus inner edge diameter slightly bigger then the outer which leave a slight ripple as on picture

that's it for first issue

Second Issue start the head assembly again nice molding the 3 part nicely align up with no problem, used tiny tip of grease on the screws this will help the ease of screwing the parts less stress and nice and smooth hint insert all 4 screws in before tightening down helps to square off

Eye Assembly now the black strip again degrease as very thin black strip i partially removed backing as on picture to align this will save you holding onto sticky end

Last attached the eye to assembly and the front mouth, nice fit all the holes align up again a touch of grease on screws partial screw them all in check alignment and bingo part 2 done. for part three only got two parts to fit suggestion protect the eye keep the sticker on it as very easy to scratch

I'm jealous, I haven't been able to start mine yet. Soon hopefully

Have you considered applying a touch of Clear Coat to the eyes for extra shine and protection?

Also, are the eyes clear plastic painted with a black sheen, or is the plastic itself tinted?

Are there any IR sensors behind the eyes ? If so, it might be worth checking that your clear coat doesn't block the IR signal.

Fitting servo motor you do not need to remove the screws out of the body they will sit inside without falling out, fitting the cable make sure connection is firmly stuck down as can be intermittent on test,if not fully set home

Attaching the body found easy to tape together before fitting the servo motor and neck part

Circuit board fitted plus fitted battery pack plugged in the lead but do not stick down the servo lead as you will have to unplug to setup other servo motors found out later after stuck down with tape

So far have completed the head assembly on which fitted onto the body , now getting worried as looking likely that the head will have to come off to fit parts inside the head as access would be difficult recommend not to fit the head onto server me thinks, too late for me so a very gentle removing the head as can damage if not done slowly as a very tight fit.
Also the arms this looks different to the finished Robi hmm thinking the arm is coming off later in the issue.

Second servo instruction was to remove cover fit cable and re attached the same cover, pointless wait till next issue as you will have to remove the same cover and fit the arm part to it, on which then test and configure the servo, this is done at the main body there you will see that the head servo to disconnect and connect the arm servo to configure leave the head servo connection off as looks like a few servo will need to be configured from the main circuit board.
After servo all setup fitting the last part be careful wires can be trapped and pinched had to enlarge hole slightly so not to pinch the cable
thats up to issue 10 still getting one issue at a time taking forever

It may be slow giftek, but it's certainly taking shape!

What's the structural strength like?

Assemble of the left feet, well found the wire is shorter then showing in the magazine so was awkward in fitting to the motor so important to make sure it is well connected
