Finally, the wings are fitted. There are actually a few parts that I haven't fitted yet as I need to be able to take the wings off again to ship it back to the UK, when I eventually move !! However, they aren't obvious omissions. Just the wing braces, outer flap pushrods, and the antenna, which is thin and sticky up, so would be easily broken. These parts are all painted and ready for fitting when I can.

Here is the finished model ready for inspection.

This is a superb kit. The engineering and detail is amazing. Everything fits perfectly. It did give me a bit of a hard time painting it. I made a few mistakes (splashed varnish, overspray, etc.) which were all problems of my own making. I got a bit bogged down adding extra detail to the wing roots too. Hence it took so long and I got a but fed up with it. I couldn't be bothered to add panel lines or weathering in the end. Still, it looks good in the cabinet and I'm reasonably pleased with the end result. The Barracuda wheels are nice, and the cockpit stencils add a lot to the cockpit. The HGW seat belts are amazingly realistic, and amazingly fiddly !!
The Barracuda magnetos improve the accuracy, but don't really improve the overall look of the model, so are probably only worth buying if you want a very accurate model. The kit parts look just as good, just not quite the right shape.
I do wish I'd brought the Eduard exterior detail set. That would have made it so much easier to add wing root details.
As ever, comments and questions are welcomed.
