I like the Humbrol Acrylics Paul, they dry fast and give a good finish.only found the matt black by chance in a tub of paint cups from other kits.

Hi Casp,
From a tin point of view I've only tried one Tamiya one......

That was Silver and a heck of a lot better than the Humbrol one :) :) ;)

I followed Morrigans tip and used fuse wire for the control box and radio mic to give a little extra detail
To get the coil i just wrapped the wire around a pin then painted them black. Not sure if the wires are in the correct position's but I'm happy with it.

I have decided to glue the windscreen in place either up or down instead of hinged. Its a bit small and delicate to mod at this stage

Just need to add the plastic windscreen before fixing it in place then touch up the tyres a little.
Also touch up around the headlight lenses and tone down the silver behind them, its a bit bright.

Nice sunny day today and the Daffs and snowdrops are showing :D

Nice work with the coiled fuse wire, looks just right.
Looking pretty sharp for a Mutt!

Also seems to be no limit to how much guff can be strapped to these things!

The Mutt drivers certainly worked out how to get brownie points with his SWMBO; washed the car, washed the kid and did the laundry in one go.

You would have to check the engine, transmission and diff oil after a soaking like that, in case water had got in places it shouldn't.

I just used some Vallejo primer, and tried cleaning the airbrush with Tamiya cleaner. Big mistake, it just gummed up the whole airbrush :angry-banghead: so Vallejo and Tamiya paints may not be completely compatible.
