Not far off finished now :)
just the weapons etc to add and some weathering done yesterday (pics soon)
After sealing the top coat with clear satin i masked off for some lines to be added in red

Also painted the sidewinders? in white and fixed them in place along with the other weapons added along side the fuel tanks Image

Should have this finished this weekend Paul. Done some weathering but it didnt come out as good as i hoped but at least its finished.

Finished :D
After a brush coat of satin clear i used a Vallejo wash to add some weathering but it didn't come out as planned :roll: never mind it still looks like its been through the wars...so to speakImage

I did add some weight to the nose during the build but it can balance for take off :lol: :)

not used to building planes but it came out better than i thought it would, the join along the full length of the plane was a challenge

Try using a gloss varnish and oil paints thinned with turps. So much better behaved ! Student oils are cheap and work ok. Artist quality oils are better, but a lot more expensive. Perhaps worth trying it with student oils to start with, and moving up artist quality paints if you feel the need.

Hi Mark thanks for the K matey :D
the Vallejo wwash is not that good to be honest so i will be digging out my old oils i was left by my Father inlaw and give that a try in future. Thanks for the advice. I enjoyed this build apart from the horrendous join along the nose. But I did learn a few things and hopefully this will help when i come to bbuild another.
