Happy to say there were no casualties from the above photo :)
Just had time after a busy weekend to prime some parts. There are areas that need more work but its getting there...slowly

The joint along the nose looks a little better but still needs a little more filler to try to hide the join then lightly sand without loosing all the detail
The primer is Vallejo light grey and sprayed very well straight from the pot :D not sure what to do yet about pre-shading  but had some great tips from Mustang :handgestures-thumbupleft:
Image

The joint near the back of the aircraft is a bit better than the front and can always be covered by the rear wings :)
Image

I was also thinking of filling in the thin join where the tail fixes to the fuselage and also around the two bits on top :?

Should have fitted the weapon or fuel tank carriers to the wings first :angry-banghead:

Have you decided on the colour scheme. A dark scheme might hide some of the marks.

Hi guys :)
not really decided on colour yet but did fancy the pink one but it seems to be the one most people do. Then i thought of just doing a camo theme just for fun and see how it turns out
Or i could just do the kit theme and use the supplied dcals, what do you guys think :)
Would you fill the area where the tail fits to the fuselage Mustang ?

Hi Casper.

Yes I would look at filling the area where the tail fin fits plus the two little aerial on top. Use Squadron model filler white or green.

As to the side areas at the front I would look at gentle sanding them with a corner of some fine sandpaper. Don't worry to much about the panel lines, they might not stand out once finished.

I find that using some sandpaper rolled not folded in half so you have a nice curve you might be able to remove some of them.

Hi Casp,

Surely the theme this year is Pink !!!!!

In seriousness, I think that doing a pink colour might stretch you a bit more :) :) :)

Hi Paul
would be easier to do the desert pink rather than the cammo and Vallejo do the correct gulf war shade
will give it some thought and decide before the weekend
last shift tonight...off Thursday  :)

Hi Casp,

The Desert Pink must be a lot easier to do than the Florescent Pink, as that was a total nightmare ! :)

Well that does count for the colour theme (before any of the Young Pretenders Chip in and say it Doesn't) !!!!!! :) :) :laughing-rolling:

NB Mark, perhaps you could make all of the Old Guard's names Pink, as you've done for Jess, for a bit? - only a small thought :) :) :)
