I am pleased with the parts, they are full of detail for a small kit and have little or no flash on them :D

Tracks are molded and don't look too bad

Looks like a cracking little kit. Do you know if it's a new tooling ?
Cheers

Hi Mark, sorry for the late reply.
I haven't seen reference to it being from new tooling but it sure looks like it. The parts are very crisp and have no flash at all, this makes preparation so much better :D Image

main gun needs a little sanding after the two parts were glued together but it looks ok i think.
Image
was going to use wire for the light guards but they will do nicely
Image
The tracks are nicely detailed and hard plastic but do flex a little

I decided to use some of the Humbrol Acrylics that came with this kit and the Tornado kit but first they need to be thinned down for the airbrush.
My friend has been saving some handy bottles that were used for E Cigarette oils, these were washed in hot water before using.
After adding the Humbrol Drab colour to the bottle i added a clean ball bearing to help with mixing then topped up with water to a 40% water 60% paint mix adjusting until i had the consistency of Milk
Image
A pen mark to show the paint level before clean water is added
Image
Shake up the mixture and let it stand. you can see the paint thickness through the bottle. when happy put to one side and do the next.

Ball bearing first then the paint :)
Image
After mixing for a few minutes you can still see pigment grains in the mix. Not sure what this is going to turn out like on the model  Best try on some paper first

Hi Casp,

Great to see you doing this kit :D :D

Looking at the detailing, it certainly looks like a new tooling (?)

As was mentioned, I'm also surprised about the tracks, so they could be interesting to fit.....!!!!! :)

With the spray job, what type of airbrush do you have? - Sorry me on learning mode with this !  :)
Just :) to Cause a Landslide - Some :superlglue: will be included .....

Those look about the same size as my eye drop bottles (I have glaucoma. Luckily it was caught early so I use eye drops but haven't lost any vision). Hadn't crossed my mind to save some bottles for mixing small amounts of paint !
Cheers

Good idea with the bottles and ball bearings!! I just have to remember where my Granddaughter stores her bike? there must be lots of bearings I can liberate from that
