Thank Kim.

For the cables I just used some twine I had left over from my HMS Bounty. It was brown so I just coloured it with some thinned oil paint.

Hi Ian !
"Oil paint" that's unusual :o do you paint pictures also ? or am I way "off the mark" ?

Hi Kim.

No no oil paintings.

I brought a pack when I did the horse on my Polish Hussar viewtopic.php?f=38&t=5059

Then I used the black to make a wash for my Arado, in the comp which was the first time of trying a wash.

The Horse was done with oils as they take longer to set and trying to get the look of horse hair as done with a sponge.

Here you are Paul, this is the same process as making the snow effect.

No this is not what you think it is, it's talc.

Klear just a little bit.
Image

And as this will be mud, just add some colour.
Image

So first up. Put some Klear in a pot and add some colour, once you have the colour you want added some talc bit by bit. Keep mixing until you get the thickness you want.

K awarded for such a messy model, I think you need to give that a good jet wash to clean all the mud off :laughing-rolling:

In all seriousness, another excellent model and another very strong contender, loving the mud, well done
