Welcome to the Railway Tavern.

This will be the place to come in and have a drink and a mince pie and also for you to discuss anything to do with the Christmas comp from Gossip to friendly chatter.

First of, congratulations Roy and Jess on being this years hosts, after reading the rules I can find no reference as to when does it all kick off? Is it now or the end of November?
In previous years the kit was meant to be limited to a certain skill level, is this still the case or just the 15 quid limit?
Cheers

I'll have a pint of Vallejo Dark Earth, with a Tamiya Extra Thin chaser please :D

Thanks to Roy and Jess for kindly agreeing to host this year's competition. I'm sure they will do an excellent job.
Cheers

There is no skill level this year just the £15 RRP and yes you can start posting when you are ready.

I wounder if this year comp will have some sort of theme to it

Star Wars was used to introduce Jess and me

Mark has entered the Meng (the Merciless) Kayaba which sounds like a reference to "Ming The Merciless" from Flash Gordon

I also been told that a couple of other builds will be having some movie inspiration

Sound like we could be in for a Movie theme comp this year, so if you are stuck for ideas for what to do for the comp, maybe you could get some inspiration form the movies, but it's not compulsory.

ps..Jess has just asked me if she could be a Bond girl

Ill have a pint of Green Cocktail. :laughing-rolling:

Hope the tavern has a roaring fire in one corner to warm up by.

I think my entry sounds rather boring name wise.

I think it could be linked very spuriously to Dune Movie. Though its not very Spice (ly) named

Lucky the Revell Double Decker bus doesn't fit in the £15 price limit then :laughing-rolling:

(Not that I'm admitting to ever having seen the movie  )

It looks like it's going to be a great and interesting comp this year. We have some different, but interesting builds this year. I'm really looking forward to seeing these completed.

I also can't wait to see what some of the entries yet to be declared are going to be.

I was just thinking that the last date to post your completed entry is January the 31st, which will be followed by two weeks voting, I make it that the results will be announced on Valentines day :romance-heartsthree:
