It is coming a long nicely, I've just viewed a model of the Hogwarts express today, so I will have to help Jess add a bit of gold in a few places as well as repaint a couple of parts.

Here is my working progress of my train. For the signs I had to print some off from the internet for it to be a Hogwarts Express.

Thanks for the kind comments.

I am tempted to call it the "Jess Express" maybe I should do another train in pink

I made the bogies on the inside of the wheels like in the Harry Potter films. The bogie had to be modified by drilling out the axles holes bigger and the foot plates cut off. I hope the word bogie is the right word or Roy is trying to make me look like the buffoon.

It is coming along nicely. The pic don't do it any justice.

Would I ever do that to you? :shifty:

The wheels needed to be on the outside of the bogie.

The bogie was modified using drinking straws and plastic strips.

The bogie been painted and fitted.

Wow, almost finished, by the look of it - lovely job, young lady. You'll have loads of time for a couple more entries at this rate. :)

It's is really coming along nicely and I'm pleased that I took it outside in the natural light to take the photos for Jess. I think I'll do that with all my other models now as the photos have came out a lot better than if I took them inside with the flash.

I think Jess has a few more bits that she would like to add and I believe that she wan'ts to build a station and track for it from various materials.

Thanks for all the praise you all have given me.

I am planning on doing a station and track that I will make from scratch.

Plastic tube cut to size to decorate the side of the loco. Pistons were made from brass metal.
