More progress on mark 1, nearly finished.
I need a better camera really.
Modifications: glazed windows, opening doors. Extra cables to rear of shovel, swivelling chassis.
Materials used, in addition to basic card kit: clear plasticard, metallic silver thread, fine copper wire. What would I do without various grades of cyano?? :)
I tried Deluxe Materials card glue, but disappointing - ordinary PVA better.
The cutting mat gives an idea of scale, 1cm squares.
(also my wife's hand....)

Now for the next one!!

This model is mark 1, practice run. Mark 2 should be a bit better, with the home made ladders and railings from thread and superglue. (fingers crossed  )
Plus I'm making a small diorama to suit: just need to find a bit of sand.....

An excellent job indeed ! :D

I also think that the advice from Roy about photocopying the sheets is also well worth doing. :)

Hi Mark,

dioramas have been mentioned in previous comps, and allowed if basically self made rather than bought ones (that's the simple explanation....!) I hope this helps! :) :)

Thanks, guys.
Mark, diorama made from ready-mixed polyfilla, some small stones from our gravel path stuck down with PVA. Roadway from fine model railway ballast. A light spray of grey primer, some yellow paint blobs, and a bit of grass scatter. I had initially intended to make a sandy scene, but couldn't find any sand lying about (think the wife used it for her plant pots!!)

Well done on being the first to complete and enter your model, unfortunately there is no prizes for the first one to complete their model.

Love the little diorama, I still can't believe that this little model is just made out of paper :o

I'm sorry Paul, but I won't be taking any credit for this idea. I believe that it was Sojourner idea and I just simply confirmed that it was a great idea.

Again well done and this is certainly a cracking little model

Hi Roy,
The idea of photocopying the cards was also mentioned quite a few years ago on other threads on the forum - NB Sorry if I got it wrong with the recent suggestions. :) :)
