MiniArt French Musketeer XVII Century....

Postby Swordfish Fairey » Mon Nov 16, 2015 12:39 pm

Can I throw this into the ring for the Xmas Comp' this year?..............I bought it at Yeovilton show last Feb and paid £4.00 for it and I believe the max RRP is £14.99 so it should scrape in.............
Image

The only addition will be a wooden base my missus has given me(from a broken ornament)...........It is the larger of the two here, the smaller is the one supplied in the kit.........

Here is the unstarted layout of the kit....................

What a really great choice! You are certainly well within the RRP price which I googled at £10.99.

I look forward to following this build.

I'll second that. Certainly a build to watch. Not an easy kit by the looks of it. Good luck :D

Thanks Jess, Roy, Mark and Casp............
As you say Mark it looks like it is one of those that fits where it touches, if the legs are anything to go by.................

But they have gone together and there is nothing a bit of filler can't cure.................

A nice start, I like the alternative stand, it look like it will go nicely with the build. :)

Starting to look Human now, albeit a headless/handless one................
Image

The parts fit leaves a lot to be desired and really only fits where it touches...............
Image

But at least it looks close to what's on the box lid.

I've melted some sprue in liquid cement to fill in some of the little holes that have appeared here and there, it works a treat for small holes and blemishes..............

It's coming along nicely, great idea to melt some of the sprue to fill in the gaps and joins.
