I tried to print out the decals but kept getting blurred images  I need to add some up to date printer software to my Mac but as time is running short I elected to have a go at those dreaded lozenge decals that came with the kit
I thought I would have trouble getting them to sit well around the wings leading edges but after adding micro sol to the surface first and gently moving the decal into position they sat just nice  and the sol worked a treat :D
all i have to do now is paint them :|

Time to put my specs on and start the lozenge camo :shifty: :)
I have started with a Vallejo Periscope blue with a drop of thinner. The paint was going dry quickly with the central heating on so small amounts were mixed and used with a small brush

bit of a guide

Happy with the first colour :)
when dry I gave the decals a very thin coat of Vallejo semi gloss varnish with a flat brush

The decal sat very well around the front spar :D

Great work with the first colour Casper. Did you know you can slow down the drying by thinning the paint with some water with a couple of drops of glycerol in it. A trick I use when painting in the summer out here !!

Thanks for the tip Mark
First colour done (periscope blue) on to a canvas brown next
It's very relaxing painting all the shapes but it's going to take some time to finish them all.

Nice job so far Casper

Shame Revell didn't do them like Roden kits do there's pre-coloured.

I know what you mean Ian, I just did the pink and now i see pink stars everywhere :confusion-seeingstars: :laughing-rolling:
Its getting a little more tricky now
you have to paint right over the pattern line with it being black, they would have been better a shade lighter to disappear easier
Down to the last couple of colours now :) a very light brush of semi gloss clear and out with the next colour
