HK Models 1/32 Lanc

I see some test shots of HK models Lanc have just started appearing.

It does look impressive, and should be released soon.
Cheers

Now can you see why I am excited!

Ok... Once in my grubby mitts, I'll wait until Master releases the gun barrel set and Eduard release an interior set and I will have to clear the bench!

Lots of lively discussion on social media on both kits and the differences.

Wingnuts put an image of of two lancs on someones work desk.

I drooled.

Really it will be swings and roundabouts. I can see arguments between fans of different camps over very small differences and the rivet counters are already putting on their anoraks and picking up their magnifying glasses and picking out stuff on pre-production and unfinished CADs which is unfair to both producers and the community in general.

Both companies have done much research into this iconic aircraft using actual blueprints, declassified documentation, existing aircraft, maintainance documentation, archive photos and much more to give us these huge and cracking kits. Some things are just not possible to produce correctly and so some leeway has to be given as to the amount of detail and price point.

Myself? I am going to support both companies.

This is still a test shot but it shows the quality and fit of some of the parts.

Expect the real release in my hands... probably at Telford or just before. Neil will only let it out when he is 110% happy. in fact, I will go as far as saying the release version is probably in production as I type this!

It is a fantastic time for Aircraft and armour modellers with incredibly detailed subjects coming out to delight us. Telford sees me getting (hopefully Neil's Lancaster and ZM's Ki-45.) Hobby boss is or has just released a 1/32 B-24 liberator which I think is around the £150 mark... I will have to check that though.

I am going to have to spend lots more time at my bench and not messing about!!!
