Thanks Steve. The pluming parts are O gauge parts some I had in my bits box, and some I brought from Duncan Models.

Just a little update.....

Image

This is still a work in progress.
Image

After watching the series das boot time and time again, pausing rewinding, pausing rewinding this is how I see the bulkhead. The props for the series where all built from photos that Lothar-Günther Buchheim took while onboard the vessel for the German propaganda.

Still a little bit to do with adding some more details.

Photos 6,7 and 8 show bulkhead.

CMK do a range of resin updates for the Revell 1/72 type VIIc. You might be able to adapt them to fit this. Not cheap though - a torpedo room is about £50 :o

Oh, by the way, I'm back

Hi Tigerace, glad you managed to get one. If your doing the U96 as it should be you'll need to redo some of the sections as they are based on the U-995 which was modernised from the original and as so parts of this add on are incorrect.

I've watched the film/mini series Das Boot over and over again trying to get the best possible photos and this is why I've changed some of mine.

I won't be doing any lighting in mine as it will be in a sealed display case and personally don't see the point, the parts well that's a bit tricky some of them are pieces I had in my spare's box there all O Gauge bits.

Some of them came from Duncan Models http://www.scalelink.co.uk/acatalog/Dun ... ONLY_.html the Industrial taps ref AD136 I used on the torpedoes, I also brought some 7ft Vertical Steam Boiler ref AD098 and used the Vertical Steam Boiler Ref: AD098 white metal parts only.

I hope this helps.

Finally picked this back up again, I've given the inside a coat of primer and have just given that a coat of dark sea grey all over.

I've decided to paint my interior just grey with some more grey   the white and grey scheme I've seen some in isn't how this sub would have looked during its working life.

The interior was a dark and dirty place, so I'll be grimimg this up ones it's had a coat of sealer.
