Hi, I have a feeling that somewhere I have seen a sheet of etched parts that show bands of rivets cos I remember thinking to fix these in place is going to be a challenge. Keep up the good work.

The only big sheet of PE bits we got where in Issue 1.
Just picked up issue 59 and if anybody got the same please if you could let me know, because in my issue is the completeley wrong PE sheet, so I can`t continue on the bow. :angry-banghead:

Thanks, have given my issue back to the coop and the will contact WH Smith where the get it from. It is a shame was looking forward to finish the bow section and attach it to the hull this week, because next week I think the rudders/rudder and Props will be send. Cant even think where those bits are going, looking like some sort of skylight for another ship, but defo not a Sub.

Hi again Maximus. I think the brass work is def off another model, I have looked at the German website preview pages and it goes up to issue 90 odd without a sign of a piece of brass work like that. I thought of returning the magazine but realised they could just put the correct brass work in say next weeks or another later issue. So I dont know what to do yet. I will try to get in touch with hatchette and see whats going on. If you find anything out please post it, thanks.

Picked up me U 96 issue 61 yesterday and the have replaced the part wich is inside issue 61, I was right thinking that the wrong part was a skylight for a surface vessel, because I also got my Black pearl bits and there it was. Can now continue and stick the bow on to the rest of the hull.

Thanks, I have got that link in my favourites to watch, it is the same but not the same modell. I think there are 2 manufactorers doing that U-Boat, but it is good to know when the parts and what parts are coming because in germany the are further ahead of us. (Regarding the Model) Lol

I believe that strip with rivets was in Issue 1 with the wire cutter and foredeck part.

Hi Folks, I am still under the living. Have been very busy and also not to well. Have put the U-boat on hold for the time being, up to issue 85 but stopped building at issue 70. How many are the 120 or 140 issues? The same with black pearl got issue 118 today and I think it is only 120 issues. Have also put that model on hold well before xmas. Will be starting again on both of them when it is warm enough to stay outside to work. So I am really sorry about the lack of response or updates, only tonight I got my old laptop working again with the forum being on there, could not do it on the other computer, lost all login details. But I am up and running again. Next job on the sub will be the engraving of the panel lines and welding seams, not looking f/ward to that because my hands are very shaky lateley and I keep loosing my grip as well. Bye for now.

Nice to see a U-boat back on the forum. Hope your ailments don't cause you too much trouble.
