De Agostini R2-D2: a detailed review

Postby mfnotes » Sat Jun 09, 2018 4:19 am

In case it's of interest, here's my rather detailed review of De Agostini's R2-D2 partworks. Includes information on partworks in general, and on the R2-D2 filming props.

I'm currently about halfway along the subscription, and have written up extensive notes on what's good and what's bad about this kit.

Very indepth review.

Think you willl find most partworks do have some differences to the real life subject matter

Glad you liked the review!

And yes, most models have some deviation from prototype. That's inevitable. But I'm merely evaluating De Agostini's claims - they state that they're selling a "MOVIE-ACCURATE, HALF-SIZE REPLICA". But it's neither truly movie accurate nor actually half sized. Which is unfortunate!
