CONFUSED

Postby davebird2003 » Fri Mar 11, 2011 3:51 pm

I am currently on issue 51 & am confused about the positioning of detail panels 3-8 as illustration fig 17 & 18 are not very clear to where these panels should be positioned.
Can anyone help with this matter?

Hello Dave, I'm collecting this partwork series as well, but I'm not building it until I've got all of it. (Up to 107 at the moment) Mainly because I want to build all the structure first and detail it afterwards.
I agree, placement of the panels isn't clear in the instructions for the nose area, I remember looking at issue 51 heaps of times trying to work it out myself. I was kinda' relying on there being better photos in the instructions later on. Perhaps when the issue with the front turret and/or bomb aimers bubble arrives it will reveal all.
Also "TANKEN" is very well advanced, and his build diary has some excellent close up images as well. Perhaps he may have some info for you.
I believe this partworks is now complete in the UK, so perhaps someone can let you know if there are better pictures in the last couple of issues.

Looks like computer ribbon wire will be handy for detailing here!
