Eaglemoss BTTF Delorean

Postby greyhawk » Sat Sep 05, 2015 9:55 pm

This just popped up on Eaglemoss's Youtube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeJ1fSFjv8A

Apparently a Back to the Future Delorean is in the works. Nothing on the website yet, so probably just a test.

well, I've had the db5 - actually a bunch of them,
just getting the 300SL as it started in vienna a week ago,
so why not a DMC12 - would be nice converting it into a standard car...

of course mark, so you could build an austin allegro time machine?! oh no, forgot you'd need to be able to reach 80mph to activate the stuff...

Personally I won't be getting it.

First it's Eaglemoss

Second why oh why would you want to build a 1/8 or 1/10 or what ever scale they realise it at Delorean   there's some many better looking cars they could of gone for that would have been better for a wider audeance of buyers.

So for me :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:

You'll all be laughing on the other side of your faces when my Allegro mysteriously appears on the very first issue of Tamiya mag :laughing-rolling:

Have to admit, I don't think I'd build the BTTF version. Just not my cup of tea really.
Cheers

Just in case anyone is interested, not long been in touch with Eaglemoss and they gave me this address: http://build-the-delorean.com to have a look at.

Could be just me, but it looks like a regional limited release, just to test the waters.

I have emailed them to ask for more details that are not on the site, but don't hold your breath.

This could be a fun project. 1/8 scale and looks quite an interesting build.

I have no idea how many issues though and rather than a subscription will probably go through the newsie.

No reply from Eaglemoss just yet.

Before coming into work tonight, had a look in local newsagents and Tesco, but no luck. Mind you, those two particular shops don't usually stock partworks anyway so was not really expecting any joy. One more to try before home in the morning.

I have succumbed to them already though. I've subbed online, but like to pick up the first one to see while I wait.

Cmonk is fine too.

The only model from EAGLEMOSS released in France is the Alpine Renault 1600S, received this week issue 88:

and what corwyn missed to say - no issues whatsoever, every issue on time - and so far also nicely detailed -
of course we always want to have even more/better detail, but overall the alpine is really fine...

and if I may say, the 300SL is also going well, of course some detail issues annoy some of the collectors, still, fine for the average modeller...

I REALLY wish that Renault Alpine had been released in the UK.
I would have signed up for that one like a shot!!!

Is there ANY WAY I can get this kit???

Also - Anyone heard anything new on the DeLorean?
I've subscribed and had a confirmation email, but no parts yet......
