I just discovered some new photos on another website. This is the display model from the press launch.
Article here:
http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/eag ... ean.64628/

On close inspection I have to say... WOW. This thing looks like it has a ton of parts. Nice sharp detailing. The engine bay is very comprehensive... granted there are a few wires and pipes missing, but not a big deal.

WAY more detailed and accurate than the Hot Toys version. It also looks like one of the best representations of the actual DMC-12 I've seen to date.

Sod it... I've talked myself into it. Definitely going to subscribe

Nice find !! The model looks really good. I suppose it really should be completed in 88 issues

Hi guys, can someone tell me if there is an online magazine shop in the UK that would be willing to ship the issues to the Netherlands, something similar to Journeaux.fr in France? Thank you in advance for your reply.

I found some more pics on a Japanese website - they seem to be a few issues ahead of the UK. Now these really amazed me, as they have accurate front suspension, rubber boots on the steering rack, anti roll bar, front end crumple extension... they probably didn't need to go to these lengths but they have.
One note for modding - they seem to be supplying the chassis painted black - I'll be repainting it grey, as it should be

Well, I've had good experiences with a guy in the UK/Nottinghamshire.
He asked € 1 extra per issue, but he was a most reliable guy for 2 or 3 years and that was the important thing for me.
I paid him through Paypal.
He sent me over 150 issues for the Bismarck and HMS Hood.
PM sent.

Did you order before with Journaux.fr? Do you know how it works? I placed two orders for different issues and put them on hold but I was charged shipping costs twice. Do they refund the double shipping when they actually ship the items and calculate the real cost or do the actually charge twice? Thank you in advance for your reply.

I order a couple of partworks from jouneaux but never use the hold option because I don't exactly trust it over shipping prices.

I tend to order every couple of weeks or monthly depending on how many issues are available, postage costs and money available and it takes about a week to deliver.

Initially when a partwork appears it is best to keep up with each week and never mind the delivery as the first 4 or 5 tend to be very popular depending on subject and price until sales settle down to the actual builders in it for the full duration.

I would contact them to find out what exactly is their policy on using the hold facility.

no need to be so suspicious - the last parcel arrived here on friday and I was refunded almost 150 euros -
doing this since more than 5 years with them so you could probably say I am the senior buyer from our forum...

I may give this function a try then. It's a pity that they don't have an English version of their website - typical French !(members not included) :D

Refunds could be used to purchase large kits such as Jagdtiger or even Deag's Harley Davidson Fatboy.

I am thinking they will refund to your payment method, such as PayPal.???

Very useful to know. Thanks BA :D

A quick question to the more experienced builders on this forum.
(And sorry if this has been asked before)
The cross-head screws look a little out of place on the front uprights.
(See picture above)
Does anyone know of any suitable hex heads available that can be used as replacements.

Hi
you can get metric bolts but they tend to be a lot more expensive, you could also try eBay for BA bolts

Where screws are concerned you don't need to worry as due to the design no screws are seen in the finished kit.

If you prefer hex heads then you need to get the dimensions of the original screw and thread and search eBay for what you need.

Really it is an extra expense. The kit stuff is just fine and no screws will be seen when you have done.

I love the screwdriver that came with this. It is much better than those small screwdrivers you normally get that you can't hold properly or get a decent bit of weight and turning torque on the small ones. With the one in the Delorean you can get this and for me the price of the first issue was worth it just for the screwdriver. It also has a magnetic head.

I have been trying to find the next size down on eBay but I don't know what I am really looking for.

Thank you both for the replies and links.
I will have to see how it looks when I get the parts.
My second subscription was taken last week so I hope they arrive this week.
I suppose being black helps the heads to be less obvious although I think the frame should be grey.
Sorry no help for the screwdriver size.....
Apart from watchmakers/jewellers types I have never seen or let alone used something this size.
