John,
We are both at the same stage now - looking ahead on the Official Build website, the detailing of the accessories on the firewall is impressive. IMHO, this model is already looking superb. I hope they supply another wheel kit soon, as I am eager to get another one out of the way!

Just a few tips and comments to those who are not as far ahead:
Make sure the steering column is routed correctly through the spaceframe - the instructions are rather vague. I got it wrong and had to undo a lot of screws! A good clue is that the 'bite' out of the diagonal frame member on the right is there to accomodate the column.
The instructions tell you to slip the water pump behind the pulley - I recommend gluing it in place as it frequently became dislodged in trying to fit the hoses etc.
Same goes for the bottom hose; once you are happy it comes out at the right position for the hole in the radiator, glue it in place to stop it falling down
I thought I had done something wrong when the ends of the steering rack didn't meet the steering uprights on the hub - you have to compress the suspension to get them to meet and get the screws in!
Not wild about the engine assembly just attached to heavy spaceframe by two screws at the front - I would be happier if the rear mounts were also attached.
The sump is a very tight fit on the bottom of the block, wonder if it would have been better to fit the battery now, since there is a high risk of damage when you come to prise off the sump.
For the first time, I think, the instructions talk about 'gluing' parts together, although I have used it several times already.

Cheers,
Steve

so all in, it seems to build up to a quite nice model, despite the nitpicker issues with the engine (agreeably more than the size of nits in some places...)
thanks for showing guys!!

Other side. I presume the fire wall is not fitted yet as there are quite a few parts to fit to it before fitting to main frame! How many more times can I say fit!!! :)

John,
The big day is when we receive Issue 37 - that's when the spaceframe is screwed to the firewall and (at last) the rear mounting brackets are fitted to the gearbox. Should make the whole thing a lot more secure! Got to twiddle my thumbs for about 3 weeks now.
