Our Gingerbread pub (Jesscheekylee build)

Sorry that I've not been around a lot, I've a lot going on with things

Image

This is my build, I doing this for all of you that have joined the comp this year. Hands off until its made, and then you can eat it.

This is a cake stand covered in royal icing, ready for the house to go on. You don't see this in the pic, but I have put edible fairy dust glitter to give it a shimmer for the snow. Everything that I going to use will be edible unless I say otherwise

This is the kit content

Making the windows from marzipan to give the effect of the lights being on and Liquoice for the window frame.

Royal icing for snow

Liquorice for the door and I made a wreath out of royal icing and food colouring

The roof was decorated with chocolate buttons and royal icing and again with some edible glitter

Thanks everyone.

This is the other side which has gone better, so I'll put this at the front.

The pub has been put together on the board, using icing in the middle to stop it from collapsing. The path was also made out of icing.

I made the snowman out of icing and food colouring, also I used cinnamon sticks for the arms.

Image

Image

I made the sign using after eight stick and a after eight. I printed the sign (which I designed on my tablet) afterwards using icing glue.

I used cinnamon sticks for the trees and royal icing for the snow.

The last picture is showing the Pub finished. Now the tricky bit is preventing anyone eating it.

Congratulations on such a fantastic piece of modelling, and also such a strong finish to the Christmas 2017 bash! ............ Wishing you the best of luck.

(Jess, I know it's the same as I wrote on Morris's build - but I couldn't think of another way to be equally fair and complimentary to each and every participant)

  ................ ;)
