Hoping to get some time over the Christmas break to get cracking on with her.

Been a while since I last posted or got some time to work on the France, but here's the latest progress...

The first layer of planking was completed, and then the second commenced with some VERY thin planks.

With the second layer of planking done, it was time to fit the stern resin. This was all pretty straightforward.

The bow wasn't so easy. With the MDF keel piece, it would have given her a very blunt bow, so, decided to remove the bow section, so the pieces would have a sharper match. Still had to sand them quite a bit to get a nice line. With them in place it's now a case of sanding, filling, sanding, filling... This is going to take time, as I want that hull as smooth as a babies....
