25 year window? Guess who was looking out of the window in his maths class :laughing-rolling:
The X planes are a series of US experimental aircraft. They are currently up to the X-60A which is an air launched, suborbital rocket.

Yeah, an x-plane of some sort?

Just a figure of speech when posting ;)

Yeah, we have already established its a plane of some sort, just trying to establish the country of origin ;) :)

Oops!

Looks like I misread your post and took it as if you were telling me that it was a plane as I kept on mentioning the word plane in my answer. I didn't realise that you were actually referring to a type of plane (an actual X-plane) sorry my mistake

Not the X-53. Mine is pre 1960, so the X-15 is the latest it could be, and it's not that one.

Morris, Not the X-1A. I don't think there are any main stream makers that do the X-1A?
Cheers

Not mainstream maker but more a golden oldie....Glencoe make one - but it's probably outside the price cap :D

Didn’t know Glencoe did that kit.
Not the X-13 either.

Morris is the closest so far. Another clue, it’s a Japanese kit.

Tamiya 1/72 X-1? The cool one with the clear fuselage and inner detail?

Well done Morris. I’m still trying to work out how to make best use of the clear parts!

I had one - painted one side and left the other see through to see the LOX and alcohol tanks - that's a nice kit - lost mine in a house move :( its miles ahead of this Pegasus one I'm fighting
