Didn't like where I was going with the GP bombs so I started over on them - also began assembling the interior sub-assemblies - then back to the bomb-bay... :D

Your level of detail is amazing Morris. The yellow seat padding and the seat belts are beautifully realistic.

Outstanding stuff, Morris.

I'll dig out my B-17 sprue and post it next week to you. HK's boss' skiing injuries are taking longer to heal than expected and he can't travel to the factory. Very sorry for the delay.

What is your method for the stencil decals? They are excellent!

Hi James

The stencils came from an outfit in Italy called video-aviation I think - (came with the hand trolley build I posted) - Usual gloss finish / apply/ use Microscale red solution to settle / apply matt...

Let me know what you want for the sprue - appreciate you helping me out....

Amazing work Morris - this build is spectacular.
The decals on the seats just add so much character - never seen those before.
I will be following this build closely :)
So many models, so little time!

Okay, finished the bomb sets - wanted some mixture of bomb sizes and shaped just for the sake of changing things up slightly - built a couple of 250 pounders for the centre rack.
ImageImage
I've gone as far as I can until I finish the opposite side of the back bomb bay bulkhead...I am concerned after test fitting the side panels that I may have a clash - will see after Ive finished the radio room side of the aft bulkhead... :(
Image
Next is the opposite side of the bomb bay aft bulk head....Once done, I can mount it and close the bomb bay steps....so making a start - Ive ordered the Eduard B-17 E/F radio room set ,....
ImageImageImageImageImageImage
Mount the radio sets and start the floor next to after the bomb bay finished... :D

Closed up the bomb bay - added the trestle rear ropes (broke a bomb spinner off doing that! :angry-banghead: ) Started on flooring of the radio room and then will do the rear bulk head and door to the ball turret area...the internal parts will be about a foot long by then :o
