For issue 59, I moved away from the wing and started back on the aft fuselage....

Issues 61 & 62 covered the lower fuselage piece and the main electrical socket/connector....I had trouble threading the connector into its collar so that’s on hold whilst I buy some channel lock pliers to give it some wellie..

Yes! I am a bit untidy with wiring during a build to be honest... :D

Thanks! I got my channel lock pliers and managed to screw on the rounded collar to the main electrical socket. The fine large diameter thread was a bit stubborn to try to hand make up..Then I mounted it in the lower rear fuselage frame....that finishes mag. no. 62. :)

Well, I got stuck back into the Spitz Mk-1. Almost finished this issue no 71 which covered a wiring clamp, mounting the triple servo motor set from an earlier issue, assembling the rudder and elevator actuator links to two of the motors and adding more framework to cover gap between the cockpit and tail…
All was going okay until I tried to line up the middle servo motor to accept an actuator arm oriented 90 dog to stbd. You guessed it, I broke the servo motor completely in two trying to turn it.. :angry-banghead: - so I’ve ordered the back issue with another motor and will” back away for a couple of weeks. Marie and I are carrying our middle daughter to her uni in Norwich. Whilst I’m there at Filby, (our eventual retirement home)…I’m attending the Battle of Britain weekend at Duxford. Woohoo! Both days…

ImageImageImageImageImageImage

The middle motor in the picture and another pic of it prior to installation. The grey top with the cross shape on it had to be turned. I broke it in half…not sure what it does yet. The other two are the rudder and elevator…

Coming along nicely Morris. Shame about the servo incident, hopefully your replacement arrives soon.

Duxford should be a good show
