Hi Guy's

Thanks for the K Mark
Historically BR Green is incorrect for Scotsman with this boiler configeration A1, it should be L N E R Doncaster green ( apple green )
I never liked that colour did'nt sit well on the loco, although some people would argue with that view.
The BR version had a A3 boiler which had external differences, banjo dome, super heater covers on the smoke box sides, and of course
left hand drive. To many problems to convert the model.
So just got to purchase a set of BR decals for it and build the valve gear to finish
I will post some pic's of the finished loco

Superb lucking model there, as for the mods and there dificulty, Hornb railways do the same thing keep the LNER A1 Boiler and smoke stack and just paint it the BR Green and add there decals. Wold it be to hard to make the smoke Box sides for the model??? Have a K from em for the briliant work

Hi Russ Thanks for the K
It would be dead easy to fit a banjo steam dome and super heater covers, but converting to lefthand drive would be difficult as the brake
gear would be different.

Yes it would be difficult witht he Driving controlls but only a Super enthusiast would know its wrong unless you told them, The stack and Heater covers would be nice to see, especially as it is in the BR Colours

Thanks a bunch for the K Grant

Russ Iv'e discovered some details about the A3s in the book THE POWER OF THE A1s A2s and A3s
60109 HERMIT
6OO52 PRINCE PALATINE
60107 ROYAL LANCER
60059 TRACERY
60103 FLYING SCOTSMAN
All these loco's had A3 boilers but were right hand drive up to 1953/54 before they were converted to left hand drive.
So if I can get the parts, banjo steam dome/left and right hand super heater covers I will do the conversion
