Hi Guy's
I used a mig welder for many years, it is quite easy to use.
Mig is not recomended for tube under 1mm thick wall, taper the ends of the tube to make a vee joint, then just fill the vee with weld.
The important things are WIRE FEED SPEED to fast will make a blobby mess.
To slow the wire will burn back and block the feed nossle.
VOLTAGE set to low, no penertration weak joint
to high this will blow hole's in the joint , use the recomended gas
Pactice on scrap with the settings on the welder, you will soon get the hang of it.

I forgot to mention in the last post is a good clean area to clamp the earth to other wise you wont be welding anything.

Don't you wish Road Tax was still only a fiver ! It's a lovely shine to the paintwork. Wish I could get as good.

Talking about life ? Will somebody stop the world, I want to get off !
Cheers

Shame about the damage - I hope it's not serious.

Do you ever get to any shows in the south of England ? I'm in Surrey and it would be nice to see your bikes in the flesh :)
Cheers

I dont think its anythign serious, the front headlight has been pushed in and now tries to fall out.

I havent really considered long distance rallys untill this one witch is up north from me in Yorkshire, i will look into it though and drop you a mail if i find one somewhere neer surrey
