Helen Stevens' design, made as Xmas present for friends 2 years ago....
I quite like these, as a change from X stitch, next one in the stash is a scene from Bayeux Tapestry. (the original, which is an embroidery, not a tapestry, was made mostly by men - a similar project some years later was embroidered by 70 men and 42 women, the men received fourpence ha'penny per day, the women thruppence farthing - no change there then!!)

That looks like long stitch, which I never got on with :(

Satin stitch, aka long/short stitch.
Building: Hachette Flying Scotsman,Micromodels Old London Bridge, plus several others started.1:1 Canadian canoe.
