Okay, now to the P-38-J/L - Pudgy 5 - Step 1 - one engine for display the other one will be assembled and painted all black - its not seen in the nacelle...But first - a few pics of Pudgy 5 -Image ImageImageImageImageImageImage

Added the super charger air piping (still need to paint the connectors/boots) - One engine painted only - the other will be weighted and closed up in the nacelle...)ImageStarted on the landing gear bays and aft landing gear - intend painting the bays zinc chromate yellow.;..ImageImageImage

Still working on landing gear and engine (one detailed and one to be hidden - found a use for out of date pound coins :) ) - will start gear wells soon after I've weathered the tyres ....

thanks guys, - A bit more done today - the easy engine boom and the lower wing almost finished - If you ever build this kit, the wing is at its weakest at this stage - be careful -

Outstanding work again Morris.

I am thinking you use a primer, then gloss black base and polished aluminium for the skin. Would a gloss white base be different and lighter effect?

Hi SD -

Yes - but no primer - polish the plastic directly to high sheen - Use Tamiya gloss black from a rattle can - Then Alclad chrome - from an old single action air brush.... A lighter sheen base colour may lighten the Alclad - I've never tried it to see....(I'm scared - I fear change! - ... :o :shock: )
