Mini Build Diary of a mini airplane

Postby Mark » Sat Apr 03, 2010 5:00 pm

This is a short build diary of an Antoinette kit by Aerobase. It's 1/144 scale, so pretty tiny.
The kit is photo etched nickel steel, not many parts, and very high quality. The whole kit only too an hour or two to complete.

I'll let the photos so the talking - and believe it or not, no glue is used in the assembly. It's all held together by little bend over tabs.

Where can you get these, I've been looking but can't find them.

Ian.

PS, not so much a signature, more a live style, much to my wife’s annoyance.

The Aerobase models are available direct from the maker, but I've never seen them in the UK.
The maker's web site is http://www.aerobase.jp/ and I've ordered directly through him before without any problems.

This Ebay seller sells them http://stores.shop.ebay.co.uk/M-WORKSHO ... ec0Q2em322
He's in Singapore, but I've ordered from him several times with no problems. Delivery is quite quick.

I finished the kit in an evening, and the only part I dropped was the pilot ! Fortunately I spotted him running under the table !

Thanks Barry. To be honest, I think it's an aweful lot easier than your wooden models, but I guess it's courses for horses.
