Hi chill.

I would like to, I'm hoping that a friend will won't one as he's a big Mossie fan but can't build a kit. So I've offered to build one for him just asked to cover the cost of glue and paints and a little for my time as I think I would like the build.

Oh unless you want to send me one :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:

I was just reading this one, ....jig cutting and applying those decals in conjunction with the metal foil is making for an awesome look! Would like to see more of this build when you get a chance :)

Looks great Mustang!

Just one thing that not many people know.

The Mosquito was not only a wooden built aircraft, but over the top of that was a covering of fabric and then doped. It stiffened everything up. The entire outer skin of the aircraft was covered in this fashion. Once dry it was then painted.

This has been sitting in a display case waiting to be finished, so today I finally got it back on the bench and just sat there trying to work out where I was with the build.

I'll hopefully get on with this one now.  with the Harrier finished and the Testarossa nearly there it's time to get this one finished, unless something else pops up

Just a couple of small bits, while I still work on the wing decals.

It won't be staying here as I'll have it sitting on the wing awaiting to be fitted or just been removed.

Finally finished all the decals today, these decals are great and I would use them again but the foil not so much.

All I have to do with the wings is to add a couple of coats of the oil to seal them, so thats tomorrow. But I'll have to get on with something else while that all drys.

Had an issue once the wings where glued on they where out by 1mm from wing tip to wing tip, so to sort this out I could either sand down the port wheel or add to the starboard one.

So I placed a piece of plasticard under the wheel which made the aircraft sit better.
Image

All I had to do then was to reshape the bottom of the tyre, and sand the bottom just a little bit.

Now it sits better.
