So here's the cockpit.

This is the kit part, but I've removed the areas where then frets will be added.

And here's how the area will look once all the parts are fitted, and the parts sealed.

Next upgrade area is the rear undercarriage.

This is the kit part.
The pencil marks indicate which area needs to be removed.
Image

After I'd removed most of the area.
Image

I gentle remove the rest of the area with a new blade, and a light sanding.
Image

And after some more cleaning, the detail part was added.

Managed to do a little yesterday on this. Made all the sections ready for painting i.e undercarriage, rear exhaust, air intakes and so on.

This is how she looks at the moment.
Image

Strange way of fixing the wings, you have to fit them to the upper section before joining the two hands together. Getting the wings to fit correctly was a bit of a :angry-banghead: as the port side didn't fit 100% at the front so I had to remove a little plastic to allow the wing to move forward.

Was having a look around the www last night and found someone that built one of these in four days   different markings but all weathered.

This will be the last of me doing diary builds.

I'll just be posting photos of stages when I've finished a model, I want to concentrate more on the build then the diary side I hope you guys understand.

Anyway not sure what's the next big build will be, either a Airfix 1/24 Harrier, 1/48 F14a Tomcat or a US coastguard helicopter.

Still need to finish the Mossie and other little kits on the go.

Outstanding work Mustang.

Would like to see the 1/24 Harrier, but like I'm going to do, finish the outstanding builds first. It's always a good plan
Partwork Building is like meeting enemy action - no plan survives first contact!!
