Added the wing along with all the control surfaces except the landing flaps and air dam underneath. Just to animate it a bit I se the ailerons to a stbd. bank and the tail elevator to down nose. |When I mounted the wing it was and is a bear - massive gaps to fill - But to be fair, Paul Fisher warns about this in his instructions - have filled and sanded twice and primed (see red circles) - still have to go back and smooth it some. - Pardon the picture quality, there from my mobile phone today.

I needed a break from the canopy work so I painted some.S orry didn't break down in pics the painting work - Used rattle cans mostly with masking - The white and silver is Humbrol acrylic spray and the Sea Blue is Tamiya AS-8 - same thing on used on my Corsair. Applied the stbd side major decals - Will finish the other side and go onto the data decals. I missing my Vallejo 400 ML Gloss Finish spray - I used the last of mine - It was brilliant stuff for a smooth finish - Everything I'm using now is orange peeling - Anybody know if any is for sale anywhere...??
(I also had to go back and paint the entry points on the intakes at the wing roots - William Holden's #209 Panther was partially Sea blue - ) - Whilst looking at the pics, I notices Pauls instructions have the forward fuselage star / bar and the '209' decal aligned - In the movie the star was higher towards the Lt. H,. Brubaker insignia.....oh well....

Found this on the web https://www.jacksonsart.com/vallejo-acr ... ss-uk-only says Gloss but the picture shows matt on the can,
Love the plane, been having trouble lately with Tamiyas gloss black spray, leaving small bubbles in the finish

Thanks for noticing and commenting! It was a bit tedious and tired stiff fingers - two coats of future followed by polishing with wet grit pads - 3000 to 12000 in steps - still some areas to do......
