I'll use the decals form the newer incomplete kit and mimic the verison best I can....Primed all the yellow parts

...then painted them using a Tamiya Chrome Yellow rattle can.

I've never been very good at rigging In fact I never finished a biplane as yet.... - So I will build the plane with the wing halves separated to thread the rigging through the predrilled holes I did....(Sailing ship modellers and WW1 aircraft folk probably know a better way but I will try mine..)

The Kit instructions say the lower wing is a lighter colour of the camo on top....I attempted this but it's different in tone - may have to try something else....

The instructions are right, Morris. RAF biplanes used a technique known as "shadow shading". I can, if you wish look up the colours for you, but they will probably not be available I rattle cans unless you have them made.

Don't forget that biplanes had a Matt clear dope finish.

I didn’t know anybody did a 1/32 Moth. It’s looking very good.
Does anybody still sell the same kit ?
Cheers

Thanks Morris. It seems to be out of production now. There are a couple on Ebay, but £30 and the auction is still running - that's a bit rich for what looks like a very basic kit, for me anyway.
Cheers

Didn't get much down as I travelled most of the week and I was enjoying other build threads - Plus the cockpit is slowing things down - Created a bit more accurate look for the instrument panel compasses (kit compass is just a half round blob) - Put in a few linkage and rods - Tiger Moth office pics show there wasn't much to the cockpit(s)....Kit comes with two seats but the forward seat is a tub affair with seat insert - got think on that one for a bit....had to cut out the old compasses and scratch build new - (still have to repaint those lower wings...

I have gotten a little bit done. My job only allowed me one day to work on my Moth this weekend. Thinned the rear seat to look more in scale and built the tub seat to replace the front square kit part. Added the belts and panels. Pre-strung the thread in the fuselage and closed it up. Got some filler work to do looks like.....

A very nice build to date Morris. Lovely old aircraft. Look forward to seeing it completed :D
Where I live I usually see a Moth or two flying over, in a year. :)
There was anniversary sometime ago now (I can`t remember what is was for) when a 9 flew over my house on their way to Woburn I think. :o 8-)

A bit further along today - tail rigging done - lower wing (faded as per instruction) added - will have to go back add touch up the rigging wires - took one shot with a flash - Bi-planes are slow builds - for me anyway...

Still coming along with this, albeit slow....Engine and cowling done - coated the cowling and side pocket oil reservoir with a satin finish. The rest of the aircraft is matt coated.
