This is my first attempt at using P.E and a wooden deck in this scale, in fact this is only the second ship I've ever tried to build, so will it ever get finished or end up in the bin?
Here's a pic of the PE, Im using Eduards and Lionroar for the railings, reason for using the Lionroar railings is that they have a rail running along the bottom rather than Eduards where you have to stick individual stanchions to the deck :superlglue:

Havent taken a pic of the lionroar railings yet

Funnel attached to replacement deck piece from mk1 design, as well as the wood deck they also include this brass deck plus a couple of ships name plates for the bows, I had a slight gap at the front, filled in with pva glue.

Part of the bridge before anything added, I've cut a small opening in the rear of the "guard rail" as on the real ship to enable the crew access to the mast.

same part with doors and deck fitted also a bit of railing at the rear where I had cut the access way to the mast, this has since come off and is waiting to be replaced :angry-banghead:

Oh, nano-engineering ! You're a brave man attempting a 1/700 ship with etched details

Looking good so far

Thanks Mark, first time for everything, this could go either way, in the bin and put down to experience or it might even get finished :laughing-rolling:

I've got a slightly bigger one waiting on the slipway, its the Dragon 1/350 sharnhorst, also with extra PE, this time white ensigns frets and a replacement deck from artwox, lets see how I get on with this one first :handgestures-thumbupleft:
