Postby Morris » Sat Jun 24, 2017 5:13 pm

Just for a change of pace I retrieved a model from the attic I had been waiting to start. - I thought I would show some progress shots here - I am wiring it for lights and a sound unit also... :D

OMG ! Morris that's a real "blast from the past"  :o I used to love watching that show and I thrill I got watching the sub rising out of the water into air and splashing down on to the top of the water.
I'll following your build with great interest.
Cheers, Mike.

Hi to all- back from holiday - Mounted the forward observation deck in place on the fwd lower manta-ray hull - Wired in the 3 white lights in the forward observation deck and the nose and manta fin lights on the hull. These will connect to circuit board 1. Then the second pic is the red emergency power light - it will be connected to the 2nd circuit board - (CB2) - I plan to have the kit switch from normal running lights to emergency red (as in the mine field collision scenes)....Will show the running lights later when all is hooked up -

Hello Morris, Seaview coming a long nicely, loving the lighting mods so far
I hope you don't mind a small "thread jack" I went on a "fishing trip" and caught the link below, I hope it will give some in sight to the show its self ...........
To you "young un's" It was aired in the 60ish years, this was a time that everyone's perception (myself included  ) of a "computer" was that it had to be the size of a double wardrobe and more flashing lights than there are in Blackpool illuminations :o :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:
This episode is called "Deadly Dolls" featuring the late great Vincent price, Yes the acting is a bit corny and the set does move around now and then but hey !
It is in the public domain (You tube) so it should be OK enjoy :D
Oh ! it's an hour long so you will need popcorn :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:
