BoB Movie MG PA (actually a MG TC)

I always fancied making one of these -

thought I would give it a go with the Scalelink P/E wire wheels - I know the kit itself is of a MG made 5 years after the movie setting but it's nearly there.....
I've started assembling the 6 piece wheels - the spinners, I'll add later...Had to modify the kit wheels and the Scalelink hubs to fit the Revell axle...

Then I mounted all 4 (and made the 5th spare wheel)

Then I painted the assembled frame and engine -

You will note the bent alternator unit on the engine - Morris ot to close with a blow drier trying to dry the paint! :angry-banghead:

Lovely work as usual. Don’t see many models of MGs about. This looks a great kit, but I’m sure it has it’s challenges.
Cheers

Good Job - I know as I've built this kit myself and it fought me all the way to the finish. Seem to remember spending hours fettling the bodywork and messing about with so many details that now I've simply forgotten about.
But one thing I do remember is it would take some skills to put out a completed job like this - WELL DONE.

Just to echo Andi & Les, it's great build. Love the diorama, it really sets the car off.
Cheers

It looks brilliant!
I've no idea what a 'K' is, what it means, how you add them, or how you keep track of them but anyway, a K awarded in my head.
A small observation:
Your lovely diorama - you've clearly gone to the trouble to add the tyre marks in the grass but the car must have reversed in...
Maybe turn the car around?

A lovely little set-piece.

K = Karma which can be found on the right hand side of each post under the avatar, you can click on the green thumbs up to give a K or the red thumbs down to take a K away. It's just like giving someone a like. If you click on the little green boxes above the thumbs up, that will open up a window showing the K history. You can also go into your own user control panel (found top right of the forum just under the Board index) to find out your K's received history.

You can find out more on the Karma here

I hope this helps

Thanks, - :D - my mosquito is in more pieces that when I built it. A big heavy kit like that hits a concrete floor pretty hard......so I think I will do another - I like the Airfix kit to be honest and I'm kinda looking forward to it.....
